A Warm Welcome

We are Christians who believe the Bible to be the written Word of God for us today, and believe it to be authoritative and trustworthy.

Whilst much of what we do is based in and around the hall building, our functioning is more about the people than the bricks & mortar. This is important to be reminded of - Christianity is, at least, about people having a relationship with God and the building is not essential.

Our main desire is to point to you the Lord Jesus Christ. We have come to understand the reason for His coming to this world 2000 years ago and have personally appreciated that He died to deal with our sin. We absolutely believe that he was buried and rose again the third day, to give us the hope of eternal life.
The reason we meet as we do, is because the Christian life has much more to it than just believing. Read on for a clearer explanation of what we believe...and feel free if you have any questions, to contact us.

For anyone wanting to know more about the heart of the Christian's belief, we suggest watching this short gospel presentation or read this 1 minute blog.

Details of the meetings we hold for outreach can be found in the Activities area of this site. You’re warmly invited to join us.

What We Believe

The Bible which we can read in our own language is a translation from the original Hebrew & Greek text which, we believe, was given directly from God to selected men who wrote the words God gave them.
Our beliefs, teaching & practices are based on what this book states.
Because we believe it is the Word of God, it is as relevant today as it was when it was given

Here are some of the basics:

  • God created the heavens and the earth & upholds them today (Genesis 1; Hebrews 1:3)
  • Because of disobedience Adam and Eve brought sin into the world and we inherit their sinful nature. (Romans 5:12-21)
  • The soul of mankind is eternal and will live on beyond death either in heaven or hell (Luke 16:19-31)
  • Unforgiven sin will separate the sinner from God for ever (Isaiah 59:2)
  • Jesus Christ is the Son of God and is God. He became manifest in flesh through a holy conception (Colossians 1: 13-22; Matthew 1:20)
  • He did no sin, He knew no sin, and in Him there is no sin (1 Peter 2:22; 2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 John 3:5)
  • He suffered death by crucifixion at Jerusalem during which he bore the penalty for sin laid upon Him by God. Three days later He rose from the dead and later went back to heaven. He is alive today. (1 Corinthians 15:1-4)
  • The death of Jesus Christ demonstrates God’s righteousness, love and grace. It means God can offer mankind complete forgiveness from sin, by repentance and acceptance of Christ as Substitute, Saviour and Lord. (John 3:16; Acts 2:38; Galatians 2:20; Ephesians 2.8)
  • God would have all those who are saved to live out the principles and practices found in the New Testament, and to grow to be more like His Son (Acts 2:41-42; Romans 8:29)
