The Bible says,
“For scarcely for a righteous man will one die, yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.” Romans 5.7-8
In the sight of God we are all sinners, but God sent his Son to bear the punishment that we deserve, so that we might be saved.
In 1533 Mary Tudor, sister of Henry V111 was buried in the Abbey but her body was later removed to St Mary’s.
For the wages of sin is death….(we deserve to die because of our sinful nature)
…..But the Gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ. Romans 6.23
God has made a way so that you can be saved and receive the gift of everlasting life, because He loves YOU more than words can say.
Salvation is for everyone...
In 1912, the Abbey Gardens were officially made a free park, open for all the public.
The Bible says,
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10.13
God’s way of salvation is for everyone, regardless of who we are!
The Apostle Peter said in the Bible,
“I perceive that God is no respecter of persons” Acts 10.34
“What must I do to be saved?”
The answer from the Apostle Paul was simple
“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ
and thou shalt be saved.”
Acts 16.31
